Drum Coupling

Drum coupling is a special flexible coupling used in heavy equipment such as lifting, port and metallurgical machinery. Its core function is to connect the reducer output shaft with the wire rope drum — it must not only transmit large torque but also bear huge radial loads for the drum. The biggest difference from ordinary couplings is: it only bears radial load, not axial load, and the bearing seat at the other end of the drum must allow axial play clearance.
